An update from the City, shared with us via NAC 3:
We are getting ready to make crosswalk and median improvements along Christopher’s Crossing at McClellan Dr (new crosswalk), at Fieldstone Way/Sawmill Ct (median extension), and at Harper’s Ct/Midsummer Dr (new crosswalk). The plans for these are ready and the contractor likely will start work within the next couple of weeks (schedule/weather permitting). The work will include installation of new crosswalks, updated handicapped ramps, new pedestrian crossing signs, median extensions, etc. at the intersections.
We will also be updating the crosswalk at Christopher’s Crossing and Timber Grove Rd/Midsummer Dr (the all-way STOP intersection). The existing all-way STOP control will remain at the intersection at this time and will be re-evaluated along with any turning movement restrictions ahead of the opening of the Christopher’s Crossing-Sanner connection and initiation of the new traffic signal at the Christopher’s Crossing/Opossumtown Pike intersection (approximately 9-12 months).
Please let me know if you or a member of NAC 3 have any questions.
