As we move into the final weeks of summer, American Pool has notified us that the nationwide labor shortage and students going back to school may impact the availability of life guards at the pool…

We will now be using hard passes for the pool. You may pick up your passes from the pool during your next visit. You no longer need to make a reservation through the app. Please allow 3 business days from the date of your application for your hard passes to be at the pool. If you submitted your application more than 3 business days ago and they are not at the pool, please contact Kista.

The City of Frederick Parks & Recreation Department is currently undertaking an effort to better understand residents’ usage and needs for the park and recreation system – and they want your input! We have several exciting updates to share with you:

• The pool will open for the season on Saturday, May 29th! Please read our Pool FAQs and register online.

• Our annual yard sale will be held on Saturday, June 5th from 8am - 2pm (rain date: Sunday, June 6th)

• Our community is hosting a movie night in the park for our residents on Saturday, June 19th.

We’re excited to share that preparations to open the pool for the season are underway! Additional information about this, as well as other upcoming events, will be mailed to residents and posted online (here and on Facebook) in the coming days.

Our annual meeting, originally scheduled for this Thursday, is being rescheduled to next month. The HOA board expects to have the new date finalized shortly. Please check back here or on our Facebook page for the new date once posted.

The North Crossing HOA encourages everyone to stay safe this Halloween. If you plan to participate in trick-or-treating, please follow the CDC’s guidelines including wearing a cloth mask and practicing social distancing. Homes giving out candy should leave their door light on so participants know which homes to visit and which to skip. Continue reading for more tips on staying safe this Halloween.

The Frederick County Fire Marshall’s office has asked us to pass along the following guidelines for safely enjoying fire pits. Please note that fires must be contained in a fire pit, fire bowl, or chiminea and must be at least 15 feet away from any structure, including fences.
